Production tracking

Production tracking that tells you why, not just how many

For manufacturers between 10 and 150 people who know their output number but cannot explain it. Track plan versus actual hour by hour, capture the reason every time the line falls behind, and turn the repeat causes into fixes with an owner — without an implementation project or a setup fee.

The demo opens a read-only manufacturer workspace with your email — no password, no card.

Hour-by-hour plan versus actual

Each cell or value stream gets a simple target per hour. Operators log what came off the line and, when the number is short, pick a reason code. By the end of the shift the shortfall is already explained.

  • Targets by cell, line or value stream
  • Reason code required only when the hour misses
  • Shift and day rollups with no manual consolidation
  • Kiosk Floor View for line-side tablets and shop TVs

Live job status during the day

One view of the work in the shop, updated by the people doing it. You can see which jobs are moving, which are stalled and which are about to go late while there is still time to react.

  • Job and order status by value stream
  • Blocked work surfaced with the barrier attached
  • Two-tap escalation carrying an owner and a due date

A loss Pareto that builds itself

Every reason code feeds a downtime and loss Pareto by machine, cell, shift or period. Most shops find four or five causes behind the majority of lost hours — this makes them impossible to argue about.

  • Red-day and downtime Pareto with drilldown
  • 3C escalations, A3 and 8D for the causes that deserve them
  • Improvement benefit tracked in dollars

From the floor to the leadership review, automatically

The same tracking data rolls into daily boards, KPIs and the monthly report out, so the numbers your team discusses are the numbers the floor recorded. No reconciliation, no rebuilt slides.

  • Daily, weekly and monthly reviews from one dataset
  • Board and leadership reports exported to PDF or PowerPoint

Frequently asked questions

What is production tracking software?

Production tracking software records what a shop actually produced against what it planned, hour by hour, and captures the reason whenever the two differ. That gives you a live picture of job status during the day instead of a variance report at the end of the month.

Do operators have to enter a lot of data?

No. Tracking is a few taps on a kiosk screen: output for the hour, and a reason code if the target was missed. The Floor View is built around removing barriers rather than monitoring people, so the fastest thing an operator can do is flag what blocked them.

Does it work without machine sensors or an MES?

Yes. Most small manufacturers start with manual hour-by-hour entry on a tablet at the cell, which is enough to build a reliable loss Pareto. Machine data can supplement it later, but it is not required to get value.

How is this different from tracking production in a spreadsheet?

A spreadsheet records numbers; it does not connect them. Here the same entries build the daily board, the loss Pareto, the escalation list and the leadership report automatically, so nobody spends Monday morning rebuilding the picture.
